Each day, hundreds of thousands of listeners around the US tune in to hear one of radio’s most outspoken and outrageous personalities, Bubba the Love Sponge®. Host of the nationally syndicated Bubba the Love Sponge Show (btls.com), “Bubba” Clem relies on the calls he takes and makes from his Tampa, Florida studios. And now, he’ll rely on a new Telos Nx12 Talkshow System to ensure that those calls sound their best.
Bubba Radio Networks has just taken delivery of a new Telos Nx12, an advanced 12-line broadcast phone system from Telos, the originators of the DSP-powered telephone hybrid. The sale was made by Telos distributor SCMS, Inc. of Pineville, North Carolina.
Nx12 users get the latest in talkshow technology: four DSP hybrids with DDEQ digital dynamic equalization, symmetrical wide-range ACG by Omnia, and long-tail-echo cancellation for sweetening of VoIP and cellular callers. Nx12 systems also support two-studio operation, giving each room independent per-studio call queues, hybrids, line allocation and Program-on-Hold inputs.
Nx12 can be ordered for use with POTS or ISDN telephone lines, or a mixture of both; clients have a choice of analog or AES/EBU output options, plus LivewireTM I/O for easy single-cable connection to Axia IP-Audio networks. There’s also a six-line version, Nx6, tailored to broadcasters with less demanding talkshow needs.
Nx12 users have a choice of several different call controllers:
