ZEPHYR XSTREAMDigital Network Transceiver |
|
The Best-Selling Digital Broadcast Product Ever? Quite possibly. With Zephyr, Telos invented the ISDN transceiver, so it's not surprising that the original Zephyr became the worldwide standard for sending high quality audio over ISDN. Integrating advanced audio coding and digital telephone technologies in a single unit, Zephyr has become the broadcaster's choice for news, sports, music, and production. And it's easy to use: Zephyr makes transmitting CD-quality audio as easy as sending a fax! Once programmed, anyone can Auto-Dial ISDN calls. Not sure what to do next? Press the HELP button for plain English information. Zephyr can transmit two-way, 20kHz stereo audio plus ancillary data virtually anywhere in the world using just a single ISDN circuit. And it can transmit 15kHz mono audio using only one of an ISDN line's two channels. Zephyr was first to introduce ISO/MPEG Layer III -- MP3 -- to broadcasters, and it's now the accepted standard for coding audio signals for transmission. To most listeners, the coded/decoded audio cannot be distinguished from the source. In addition to Layer III, Zephyr incorporates ISO/MPEG Layer II and G.722 coding schemes. Because it communicates with so many codecs from other manufacturers, Zephyr lets you connect to more sites than any other product via digital phone lines. Coding on the transmit and receive paths can be independently selected from the three offered schemes for the optimum compatibility and performance. Features And Benefits:
